How does Radio Frequency help my sagging skin?
Radio Frequency has been used for non surgical skin tightening since 2001 but recently it has become increasingly popular because it can be used to tighten many areas of the body as well as the face. As we age, our collagen production decreases. Collagen provides the structure for our skin to maintain strength and shape. Losing collagen leads to loss of volume and lift. This transformative technology induces the production of collagen, elastin and cell production.
Radio Frequency gently heats the lower levels of the skin to approximately 40°c. The brain is stimulated to promote a healing response. This in turn causes increased collagen production and tightening of elastin fibres, helping the skin to become firmer, thicker and appear more youthful. Radio Frequency can be used to treat a great number of areas and conditions over the body.A course of Radio Frequency treatments will help to lift, firm and tighten skin through aiding the skin’s own ability to produce collagen and elastin, targeting concerns including fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin & acne scarring.
There are very few downsides to the Radio Frequency treatment
You may experience a slight warmness to the skin immediately after the treatment; this will fade as your skin returns to normal temperature. You may also experience a slightly flushed appearance immediately after the treatment due to the gentle heat of the wand; again, this should subside within an hour or so as the skin cools.
People with electrical devices e.g. Pacemakers, or those with metal implants such as metal hip joints, heart valves or dental plates should not have Radio Frequency treatment because it may interfere with these devices or heat metal implants. Results may vary.
